Sabres invade: University of Victoria

The University of Victoria (UVic) is the largest university on Vancouver Island. Originally a college in the University of British Columbia system, it gained autonomy in 1963. The campus layout is peculiar; the majority of the campus lies inside a circular road that is exactly 1969 feet (600 meters) in diameter, split diagonally by the city limits of Saanich and Oak Bay.
